  33. INSTALLING GENOCIDE

  36. If you have any trouble installing or running Genocide, make sure
  37. your system meets the following minimum system requirements:

  39. - Windows95(tm) 
  40. - Pentium 90 Mhz or compatible processor(133 Mhz+ recommended)
  41. - 16 MB Memory
  42. - 25 MB Free hard disk space(35 MB for Full Version)
  43. - Microsoft DirectX5 or later
  44. - Windows95(tm) Compatible soundcard(recommended)

  47. MICROSOFT DIRECTX

  50. Genocide Windows95 Edition requires Microsoft DirectX version 5 or
  51. later. You probably already have DirectX installed on your system,
  52. but if you find that Genocide does not run successfully on your
  53. computer, you may want to obtain and install DirectX.

  55. You can download DirectX Version 5 or later directly from
  56. Microsoft at www.microsoft.com. (http://www.microsoft.com/directx).
  57. The latest version of DirectX is also included on the CD-ROM
  58. of the full version of Genocide.

  65. You may uninstall Genocide by double-clicking the Add/Remove programs
  66. dialog from the Windows95 control panel. (Click Start/Settings/
  67. Control Panel).

  70. DISTRIBUTING DEMO VERSION GENOCIDE

  73. If you obtained the Demo Version of Genocide from the Internet,
  74. magazine cover disks, friends, etc., you may freely distribute your
  75. Demo Copy of Genocide, either directly or on the Internet, as
  76. long as you do not charge any fee for it. You must distribute the
  77. entire setup file and you may not modify, delete or add any files.

  84. prohibited by law. Distribution, copy, sale or modification of the

  99. UPDATING GENOCIDE

  102. You can update Genocide to the latest available version (Full version only)
  103. by downloading and running the latest available patch/bug fix from our
  104. website. To update your copy of Genocide, do the following:
  105.  
  106. - Check the version number of Genocide you are running. To do this, press
  107.   ESC during the game to display the on-screen menu, then select Help/Ordering
  108.   from the available options. The version number of Genocide will be displayed.
  109.  
  110. - Check our website if there are any updates available. You should only install
  111.   patches or updates with a higher version number.
  112.  
  113. - Download the update from our website and run the program by double-clicking it.
  114.   Follow the on-screen instructions.
